New Year's Event Planned for Duluth

Various activities are planned.

Christmas may be gone, but you still can make plans to ring in 2014 in Duluth.

According to a city news release, a New Year's Eve celebration is planned for Tuesday, Dec. 31, on the Town Green. Festivities are to run 6 p.m.-12:30 a.m.

Activities include inflatables for children, a large snow slide, food vendors and live entertainment.

Also, a "man zone" will be set up in Parsons Alley; Aaron's Furniture will have couches to sit on while people view the telecast of the Chick-fil-A Bowl game from Atlanta. And patrons can cruise the downtown area shops and restaurants.

Entertainment will include The American Flyers Show Band, an independent touring band, Duluth Idols, Wes Brawner DJ, and Fire Dancer, the release said. At midnight, fireworks will launch to ring in 2014.
