Duluth School Box Is a Can-a-Thon Collection Point
11Alive-TV's 30th annual holiday food drive started at 5 a.m. and continues until 1 p.m. at Duluth drop-off site.
The School Box on Venture Drive in Duluth is serving as a drop-off location for 11Alive-TV’s 30th annual Holiday Can-a-Thon starting at 5 a.m. and continuing through 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30. 11Alive and its partners, Publix Super markets and The Salvation Army have again teamed up to raise food to feed the hungry during the holiday season. Food collected during the holiday drive will be given to The Salvation Army. More than 154,000 cans were donated in last year’s Can-a-Thon. Suggested donations include: Pop-Top Cans: These are easier for individuals who do not have stable housing equipped with kitchen utensils.
