Possible Wintery Mix Monday Night

No accumulations are expected, but there may be some sleet or snow, rain mix.

The National Weather Service at Peachtree City has issued a Special Weather Statement warning of a possible wintery mix Monday night into Tuesday morning. Gwinnett County is included in this alert. According to Weather.com, the strong arctic high that has affected the area for the past two days will gradually shift east, allowing for moisture to return by late Monday. Enough cold air is expected to be in place to result in a short period of sleet or snow, rain mix. No accumulations are expected, but there is still some uncertainty with the forecast so the NWS is encouraging everyone to check frequently. Patch will stay on top of the alerts and advise of any changes.
