Celebrate Duluth Night at G-Braves Game Friday

Gather your family and friends and make a night of it at the Gwinnett Braves game Friday, June 15. It’s Duluth Night at the G-Braves Game! The Gwinnett Braves play the Columbus Clippers at 7:05 p.m. at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville. Close parking is available, and there is a shuttle to the stadium. Watch the game together, cheer for the G-Braves, and stay for the fireworks display. Special discount tickets are available for Friday’s game at $8 each using the code word DULUTH. Win G-Braves First Pitch for Dad

Father’s Day is this coming Sunday – less than a week away. If you’re looking for a special way to honor Dad, stop by the Belk’s department store at Gwinnett Place Mall in Duluth or the Mall of Georgia in Buford and register for an opportunity for him to throw out the first pitch at the Gwinnett Braves game on Sunday, June 17. The G-Braves will play the Columbus Clippers at 2:05 p.m. at the Father’s Day game at Coolray Field. Th lucky dad will also receive a replica Gwinnett Braves jersey and a baseball autographed by a G-Braves player. The prize package includes two tickets to the June 17 game. Gwinnett Braves Lose Opener of Road Trip

Columbus starts fast in 9-5 victory.

The Columbus Clippers scored eight runs in the first three innings Friday and went on to a 9-5 victory over the Gwinnett Braves in Columbus, Ohio. The Clippers' Lonnie Chisenhall hit a grand slam off G-Braves pitcher Todd Redmond (5-7) in the first inning. Luis Valbuena added a three-run homer. For the G-Braves, Mauro Gomez was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Gwinnett remains three games behind Durham in the International League South. The teams play again Saturday night in Columbus, with Julio Teheran (7-1) to start on the mound for Gwinnett.
