National Kids to Parks Day is coming to a Gwinnett County park in Duluth. The free event takes place Saturday, May 18, at Shorty Howell Park in Duluth. Families are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch and enjoy outdoor play, wildlife education and crafts. This is the National Park Trust's third annual National Kids to Parks Day, and officials say the event helps combat obesity and other ailments by encouraging a healthy lifestyle.
