Phil McLemore Appreciation Day Proclaimed in Duluth
Former Duluth city administator Phil McLemore will be honored at a farewell reception from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 22, at the Red Clay Theatre. McLemore, who officially retired Dec. 31, has been serving as a consultant to the city on various projects through March and assisting new City Manager Tim Shearer with the transition. Mayor Nancy Harris and the Duluth City Council honored McLemore with a proclamation and plaque for his 15 years of service during the Monday (March 12) council meeting. That Monday was proclaimed Phil McLemore Appreciation Day in the city. McLemore was recognized for his forethought that put the city in the forefront in many instances.
