Obituary: Michael Scott Hudgens

Michael Scott Hudgens, 64, of Duluth, a philanthropist and son of the late Gwinnett developer Scott Hudgens Jr., passed away Feb. 6. The family will receive friends Friday, Feb. 8, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Crowell Brothers Peachtree Chapel Funeral Home, 5051 Peachtree Industrial Blvd., Norcross/Peachtree Corners. Mr. Hudgens attended the University of Georgia and was a retired U.S. Army Veteran. He enjoyed his family, being with friends and working on the family farm, where he spent most of his time. An avid NASCAR fan, he also enjoyed spending time at his home on the lake. Mr. Hudgens was preceded in death by his father; his brother, Mark R. Hudgens; and sister, Marcia Duggan.
