Get Married, Renew Vows at Historic Courthouse
Gwinnett Magistrate Court judges to perform ceremonies for free on Valentine's Day.
What can be more romantic on Valentine's Day than a wedding? Gwinnett County Chief Magistrate George Hutchinson and other local judges will again make it easy for couples to get married on Valentine's Day without the expense of a big wedding. Gwinnett Magistrate Court judges will perform wedding ceremonies or vow renewals at the Gwinnett Historic Courthouse in Lawrenceville from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, free of charge. A valid marriage license must be obtained before that day for couples getting married. However, couples renewing their wedding vows do not need a copy of their marriage license.
