Bridge at I-85 and Pleasant Hill Road to be closed for the weekend starting June 7 for DDI transition.
It won’t be long before the Diverging Diamond Interchange on the bridge at Interstate 85 and Pleasant Hill Road in unincorporated Duluth opens. Before that happens the Gwinnett Department of Transportation will close the bridge for the weekend starting at 9 p.m. Friday, June 7, weather and conditions permitting. The bridge is expected to reopen to traffic with the DDI configuration at 5 a.m. Monday, June 10. The DDI project involves shifting traffic to the opposite side of the bridge to make left turns onto the interstate easier and improve the flow of traffic across the bridge. The project is expected to be mostly complete in September. Landscaping is scheduled to begin in the fall. The bridge at I-85 and Pleasant Hill Road will be closed…

The weekly Gwinnett County road closure report from the Gwinnett DOT for May 11-17. The Gwinnett Department of Transportation says work associated with the construction of Pleasant Hill Road's diverging diamond interchange at Interstate 85 in Duluth require nightly lane closures. The lane closures should occur for three weeks, starting Sunday, May 12. Closures are expected between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. One other construction project was added to this week's list of lane closures: Lawrenceville Two others were removed: Buford: Camp Branch Road from Kilgore Road to Wallace Road, which saw culvert improvements. Lilburn: Baltimore Avenue from Village Creek Drive intersection, which had drainage improvements.

Six road projects, three of which are in Lawrenceville, has been added to this week's report: Buford Duluth Lawrenceville Snellville This project was removed from the list: Duluth: Sidney Lanier Boulevard at Pleasant Hill Road, which had lane closures throughout April.

The weekly Gwinnett County road closure report from the Gwinnett DOT for April 27-May 3. These projects are no longer on the report: Lilburn: Indian Way from Dickens Road to 250 feet northwest of Dickens Road, which closed for three weeks for drainage improvements. Grayson: Lakeview Road from Pinehurst View Drive to Shoreline Trace, which required lane closures last week for storm drainage improvements.

The weekly road report from the Gwinnett DOT March 16-22 for Duluth and Gwinnett residents. Added to this week's report: Lee Road east of Anderson Livsey Road will close March 19 through early April for culvert replacement, weather permitting.
