Shorty Howell Park in Duluth will be the site of National Kids to Park Day May 18. Activities at other parks include an art show, a movie matinee, trivia contest, horseshoes, yard sale, kids cooking class, luau, board games, and a bike rodeo.

Job Fair Feb. 1 for Lifeguards, Swim Instructors

Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation Department conducting the interactive job fair at Bethesda Aquatic Center in Lawrenceville.

Lifeguards and swim instructors can learn about employment opportunities with the Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation Department at an interactive job fair from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, at Bethesda Park Aquatic Center in Lawrenceville. This job fair is for certified and uncertified lifeguards and swim instructors. The process takes approximately 45 minutes. Parents are welcome to attend. Attendees should bring their swimsuits.
