Duluth Companies Warmly Welcomed to Gwinnett

Gwinnett Chamber recognizes new, relocated and expanded companies at reception.

Several Duluth companies, including Cavanna Packaging USA, Oli, and Primerica, were welcomed by Partnership Gwinnett and Gwinnett Chamber Economic Development at a reception for new, relocated and expanded businesses in Gwinnett County for 2012. Also, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta opened an $8-million data center near its Satellite Boulevard campus in Duluth during the past year. Kasier Permanente established the Gwinnett Comprehensive Medical Center on Steve Reynolds Boulevard in Duluth. More than 80 business leaders and representatives of 18 new and expanding Gwinnett companies attended the Feb. 20 reception. ViaSat Expanding in Duluth Area

60,000-square-foot expansion in unincorporated Duluth expected to provide 275 new jobs over the next 10 years.

ViaSat Inc. broke ground Tuesday (Jan. 22) for an expansion in unincorporated Duluth anticipated to provide 275 new jobs over the next 10 years. ViaSat produces satellite and other digital communication products for government and commercial customers. The 60,000-square-foot build-to-suit facility represents a $10.5-million investment in Gwinnett County. The expansion was facilitated by the Georgia Department of Economic Development and Gwinnett Chamber Economic Development. ViaSat’s Duluth campus, located at 1725 Breckinridge Plaza, is the company second largest location in the nation after its headquarters in Carlsbad, CA. Locally, the company conducts research and development and manufacturing operations focusing on antenna systems and …

Q-Matic Relocating U.S. Headquarters to Duluth

Global company positioning its U.S. corporate headquarters on Commerce Drive near I-85.

  Q-Matic Corporation is relocating its U.S. corporate headquarters to Duluth. A leading Customer Flow Management Solution provider, the global company is moving from its location in Fletcher, NC, to a 15,000-square-foot leased building in Duluth at 2400 Commerce Ave., Gwinnett Chamber Economic Development and Partnership Gwinnett announced. The new location provides easy access to Interstate 85.  This relocation represents 20 new jobs in Gwinnett and metro Atlanta, a number the company is looking to grow in the next three to four years, according to the announcement. Experts Sharing Information at Redevelopment Forum

Local, regional redevelopment activity focus of forum Friday at Gwinnett Place Marriott in Duluth.

  Brookings Institute fellow Chris Leinberger, a land use strategist, teacher, developer, researcher and author noted for balancing business realities with social and environmental issues, will be the keynote speaker at a Gwinnett Redevelopment Forum Friday, Jan. 27, at the Atlanta Marriott Gwinnett Place in Duluth. Information will be presented on local and regional redevelopment activity. The annual forum is being presented by Gwinnett Chamber Economic Development and the Council for Quality Growth from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Doors open for networking and breakfast at 8 a.m. Lunch will be provided.
