Shooting a Result of Argument Over Football Game

Gwinnett Police arrest suspect for shooting two men in the parking lot of Applebee's in Duluth.

  Gwinnett Police are investigating a shooting that occurred in the parking lot of Applebees’s apparently after three men argued over a football game inside the restaurant located at 2085 Pleasant Hill Road in unincorporated Duluth, according to Cpl. Edwin Ritter. The shooting was reported about 6:20 p.m. Saturday (Jan. 14). Officers, responding to a report that shots had been fired, found a man with a gunshot wound to the abdomen in the parking lot. He was later identified as 30-year-old Christopher Middleton of Stone Mountain, Ritter reported. He was transported to Gwinnett Medical Center in critical condition.
