Mall of Georgia Shooting Off Fireworks, Showing Movie
Festivities get underway July 4 with concert and kids play followed by fireworks at dusk, movie.
The Mall of Georgia has packed its ninth annual Fabulous Fourth full of patriotic family-friendly festivities. The celebration is part of the Buford mall’s “Movies Under the Stars” series. Free concerts start at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 4, in the Village Amphitheatre. The line-up includes the Ron Johnsons from 2 to 4 p.m., the Woody’s from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., and the Atlanta Groove from 7 to 9 p.m. The Kids Zone featuring giant inflatables, train rides and games opens at 2 p.m. The grandest fireworks display in Gwinnett County is scheduled to begin at dusk followed by a free screening of the movie “Little Fockers.” The mall also is introducing a Beer Garden, open to families but catering to the 21 and older crowd.
