Boys play against each other at 7:30 p.m. Girls powderpuff football game at 5 p.m. precedes boys game.
Members of the Duluth High School Wildcats Team will play each other in the traditional spring game Friday, May 17, at 7:30 p.m. at Cecil Morris Field. A girls powderpuff football game at 5 p.m. will precede the boys game. Junior and senior girls will play sophomore and freshman girls. Admission is $5.

Several Duluth High School Wildcats Boys Track Team members participated in the state meet in Jefferson this past weekend. The 4 x 100-meter Relay Team consisting of Lavonta Cranford, Jordan Dooley, Terence Williams, and Evan Ubakanm qualified for state but didn't make it to finals. However, Dooley placed 7th in the state in the Long Jump with a jump of 21' 2 1/2" and earned a medal. Reported by Lee Hannah, Duluth High School Head Boys Track Coach.

Jazmyn Johnson was third in both the Long Jump and High Jump. Demichia Higgins placed fourth in the 100-meter Hurdles.
Two members of the Duluth High School Wildcats Girls Track Team finished the season by placing at the state meet this past weekend in Albany. Jazmyn Johnson waited until her final attempt to jump a career best of 17'4" in the Long Jump. She placed third overall in the state, but she wasn't finished yet. Jazmyn came back shortly to compete in the High Jump. She placed third again in this event with a jump of 5'4.” Her teammate Demichia Higgins ran a career best of 14.81 to qualify in the 100-meter Hurdles for finals. Georgia governor to make appearance at Norcross Blue Devils vs. Duluth Wildcats baseball game Monday evening at Norcross High School.

Gov. Nathan Deal better be working on his windup and stretch. This Monday evening at Norcross High School, the Georgia governor is scheduled to throw the first pitch at the Norcross Blue Devils vs. Duluth Wildcats baseball game. The pitch will be in recognition of Chris Raasch, Norcross scholar athlete baseball player, according to a press release. Raasch made a verbal agreement last fall that he would go to Vanderbilt after he graduates this spring, as reported by the Gwinnett Daily Post. The Blue Devils website says other state and county officials are expected to be at the game and will be sitting behind home plate. Duluth High School senior Tim Mettille, a Duluth Wildcats football player, has been announced as the recipient of a new scholarship that recognizes Gwinnett scholar athletes exhibiting exceptional character traits on and off the football field. One student athlete from each of the 22 Gwinnett County public and private high schools competing through the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) were selected as recipients of the Gwinnett Touchdown Club Sports Medicine South Scholarships. Each award recipient received a $600 scholarship for a total of $13,200 in scholarships for all 22 athletes.

Proud parents, family and friends gathered in the Duluth High School Theatre on National Football Signing Day Feb. 1 to watch nine varsity football players sign letters of commitment to attend college on scholarship. Principal Jason Lane congratulated the athletes seated on the stage next to their parents, and Head Football Coach Corey Jarvis introduced the signees. North Gwinnett built 20-0 lead en route to convincing win on Duluth's Senior Night.
Donnie Miles and Joseph Jones combined for nearly 200 rushing yards and scored two touchdowns apiece to lead North Gwinnett to a convincing 44-14 win over Duluth, spoiling the Wildcats' Senior Night ceremonies. It was North Gwinnett's eighth straight victory. Duluth (4-5, 2-4 in Region 7-AAAAA) tried to make a game of it through the first half, but a struggling offense kept the Wildcats from mounting any serious threat while the Bulldogs built a 20-0 lead. North Gwinnett (8-1, 6-0) drove 59 yards in just seven plays on its first possession, taking a 6-0 lead on Joseph Jones' 1-yard run with 7:37 left in the opening period.
