New Duluth High Principal Welcomed

Principal Anthony Smith and family introduced at 'Meet & Eat' event sponsred by PTSA and local businesses.

The Duluth High School Parent Teacher Association hosted a “Meet & Eat” event to welcome new Principal Anthony Smith and his family. More than 25 Duluth businesses helped the PTSA sponsor the Jan. 24 event at the school. Parents, community leaders, and Gwinnett County Public Schools representatives were among the guests. State Rep. Brooks Coleman, R-Duluth, a former educator, also attended.  Smith met and mingled with attendees and presented an update on campus safety measures including improvements in outdoor lighting. He urged parents to sign-up for emergency alert texts.
