Duluth HS Head Football Coach Resigns

Corey Jarvis, who lives in Lithonia, said the time commitment the Duluth coaching job required was hard on his family.

Duluth High School Head Football Coach Corey Jarvis has resigned, according to an article published Monday (Feb. 4) in the Gwinnett Daily Post. Jarvis had coached the Duluth Wildcats for the past three seasons. Jarvis, who lives in Lithonia, cited family reasons. He said the time commitment the Duluth coaching job required was hard on him and his family. He and his wife have three young daughters. The Wildcats, who haven’t had a winning season since 1995, had 4-6 records in each season under Jarvis’ leadership, according to the GDP article. Jarvis previously coached five years at Martin Luther King Jr. High School in Lithonia. He had a 49-11 record there and led all five teams to the playoffs.
