GCPS Makes College Board's AP Honor Roll

Only a little more than 500 school districts nationwide made the list.

Gwinnett County Public Schools officials announced this week that the school system has joined the list of a little more than 500 schools that made the College Boards AP District Honor Roll. GCPS achieved this honor for simultaneously increasing access to Advanced Placement course work while increasing the percentage for students earning scores of 3 or higher on AP exams. In all, 539 school systems in the United States and Canada received this distinction. “We are proud of this accomplishment by our schools,” Dr. Gale Hey, Gwinnett’s associate superintendent for Teaching and Learning, said in a press release. “Our focus has been and continues to remain on encouraging all of our students to challenge themselves with the rigor of AP …
