Anti-Bullying Film to be Shown

District 3 Gwinnett Board of Education candidate Jen Falk will present a showing of award-winning movie 'Bully' at AMC Theater at Discover Mills and program at Red Clay Theatre in Duluth.

There will be a showing of the award-winning movie “Bully” at the AMC Theater at Discover Mills in Lawrencevllle at 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19. Jen Falk, a candidate for the District 3 post on the Gwinnett Board of Education, procured the film for the showing in Gwinnett County. “Ninety-seven percent of middle school students say they have been bullied while online, and 1 out of 4 teens are bullied every day,” said Falk in a press release announcing the film as part of a series of events she is sponsoring to raise awareness about bullying and preventing it. “The film ‘Bully’ is an eye-opening documentary-style account of how widespread bullying is, and I along with others in the community wanted to raise public awareness and create …
