Police: Bomb Threat Made in Duluth-Area Bank Robbery

Gwinnett County Police spokesman says the suspect gave the teller a note saying he had a bomb.

Gwinnett County Police are looking for a man who is suspected of robbing a Chase Bank Monday, Feb. 18, after threatening that he had a bomb. According to a press release emailed Tuesday afternoon, police spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith said the robbery was reported at the Chase Bank at 3780 Old Norcross Road in unincorporated Duluth around 1:15 p.m. Monday. "The suspect gave a note to a teller indicating that he had a bomb and wanted money," Smith wrote. The suspect is described as an average-built white male in his late 40s or early 50s wearing blue jeans, tab jacket and black knit cap. (See photo.) Police Still Looking for Two Bank Robbery Suspects

Gwinnett Police arrest one suspect, seek two others in Lawrenceville Wells Fargo armed robbery.

One suspect in an armed robbery of a Wells Fargo bank in Lawrenceville last month is now in police custody. However, Gwinnett County Police are still looking for two potential accomplices in the crime. On Friday, Dec. 28, two black males wearing masks walked into the Wells Fargo bank at 3065 Lawrenceville Highway just before 9:30 a.m. This branch is located in the parking lot of the Walmart Neighborhood Market in unincorporated Lawrenceville. The two men inside the bank have been identified by GCPD as 26-year-old Jamar Terrell of 2769 Herrington Woods Road in Lawrenceville and 24-year-old Marcus “Bankhead” Rutledge. Gwinnett Police Identify Bank Robbery Suspect

Man who allegedly robbed bank in Swanee and led Gwinnett Police on chase that ended with gunfire exchange in Duluth was from Lawrenceville. He later died in the hospital.

The man who allegedly robbed a Bank of America branch in unincorporated Suwanee and led Gwinnett Police on a chase that ended with a gunfire exchange in unincorporated Duluth on Tuesday has been identified. He later died at the hospital. In a press release issued Thursday afternoon, GCPD identified that man as 38-year-old Alnur Edwards of Lawrenceville. Surveillance video shows a black man, believed to be Edwards, entering the bank at Sever and Old Peachtree roads, wielding a gun and demanding an undisclosed amount of money. RBC Bank in Lilburn Robbed (Video)

Lilburn police are asking for help in locating the suspect.

The RBC Bank in Lilburn was robbed Thursday morning of an undisclosed amount of money, Lilburn police said. The suspect is a while male in his late 40s, about 5'11 to 6 feet tall. He has thinning dark hair and was wearing a Minnesota Vikings NFL jersey with the number "29" and the name C. Taylor on the back. The man was driving a maroon-colored, late-model Chevrolet Corsica with damage on the front passenger door. The man entered the bank and gave a note to the teller that demanded money. The bank gave him money, along with a dye pack that exploded, releasing red dye. Bank Robbery Suspect Shot by Police Dies

The man is suspected of robbing Bank of America branch in unincorporated Suwanee.

Updated: 4:10 p.m. A man suspected of robbing a Suwanee-area bank Tuesday who was shot by Gwinnett Police after a chase that ended in a shootout in unincorporated Duluth died of his injuries after being transported to the hospital. Police say the man is alleged to have robbed a Bank of America branch on Old Peachtree Road at Sever Road. The police investigation revealed that a black male entered the Bank of America branch, displayed a handgun and robbed the bank of an undisclosed amount of money, according to an emailed press release from Gwinnett Police containing details. FBI Taking Over Bank Robbery Investigation

Wells Fargo Bank in Peachtree Corners robbed by lone gunman. Bank employee shot in arm.

Shortly after 11 a.m. Thursday (June 23) morning a lone gunman entered the Wells Fargo Bank branch on Peachtree Parkway and Spalding Drive in Peachtree Corners and demanded money from one of the bank tellers. During the robbery he shot a male employee before making off with an undisclosed amount of money. Cpl. Jake Smith, spokesman for the Gwinnett County Police Department, said that a customer entering the bank heard gunshots, ran out of the building and called police. Gwinnett police said that the suspect is a black male with a light complexion in his early 20s to early 30s in age with a slender build. Medlock Bridge Bank of America Robbed

Johns Creek PD is asking for public's help in identifying this man.

Johns Creek Police are requesting the public’s help in identifying the individual who robbed a Bank of America branch this morning in Johns Creek. The black male, approximate age mid-40s, entered the Bank of America at 10950 Medlock Bridge Road (corner of Abbotts Bridge Road) at approximately 10:05 this morning, Tuesday, May 24. The note he passed to the teller said that he had a gun, but he never displayed any weapon during the time he was in the bank. He left the scene on foot.
