GMC Buys Vacant Duluth Center for Expansion
The 72,000 square-foot shopping center across from Gwinnett Medical Center-Duluth to be used for future expansion.
The vacant shopping center on Howell Ferry Road across from Gwinnett Medical Center-Duluth has been bought for hospital expansion. The purchase by Gwinnett Medical Center of the 72,000-square-foot center, known as the Ingles shopping plaza, occurred after several years of discussion. The official name of the center is At Howell Station. The property was purchased for $7.5 million. “Through this acquisition, we’ll have an additional 10 acres of land and 72,000 square feet of building space, which can be developed to support our strategic long-term growth,” said GMC Executive Vice President and COO Thomas Shepherd. “Soon, we’ll evaluate existing needs and anticipated future growth to specify how this property can best serve the community,” …
