interior and playground are completely redone, fresh, inviting, clean and child friendly. Small staff of four is as qualified as you can hope for. Director has Masters in early childhood education. Other teachers have higher education as well in childhood education or another area with work experience in early childhood education. They really seem to enjoy what they are doing. Materials and equipment are what I would like to see in a classroom. Not much of original expensive montessori material but lots of more inexpensive teaching materials that mimic it and work very well. Plastic stuff is kept to minimum and there is no TV. Ipads & plenty of books are involved in teaching as well. Outdoors time is twice a day on a very spacious playgrond. You bring childs own lunch which I prefer for my child over menus in other places any day. Besides the routine teachings there always seem to be themed weeks or little field trips to keep it interesting. Communication is good but could handle a few tweaks. Tuition seems in line with the competition. A few days a year they close, which are mostly arranged around holidays. My tiny has been going here for a month now and appears to love it. Since the school is small by design everybody knows everybody and teaching seems to be very personal.

The Schoolhouse is a pre-school and child-care center for children ages 1 to 4 years old. It offers half-day, full-day and extended-day programs. The center has indoor and outdoor play areas and uses a natural playscape style. Activities include planting flowers, taking care of gardens, performing science experiments and learning about changes in nature.

This preschool is awesome, the staff really care for each child and strives to make every child feel special.

It's easy, I know, to think, "My kids are just brilliant," but the impact the teachers and wonderful staff have is impossible to dispute. My children look forward to going, learning and spending time with their friends and educators all week long.
I can't say enough about the team up there. Knowing my son and daughter will not only be ready for school when the time comes, but equipped to excel; gives me a sence of pride and helps ease my concerns about sending my babies out into the world.

This is an amazing place. The most unique and special learning environment. You have got to go visit. You will be wowed. If you have ever been dissatisfied with your childs preschool or daycare you owe it to your children to go for a visit. These years are too precious to take your children to a place that is just "ok".

This school is one of the best in Duluth and Gwinnett county!! I have visited this school numerous times and know several staff members and the Director. I have found the best place for our children (RaMel 4 and Logan 2). Having been a SAHM for over 3 years, now it's time to go back to work. The first day I walked into the school it was very inviting. The staff is warm, caring, and suitable for those looking for a place that will satisfy, the communal needs of today's family. I trust that our boys will be safe and well cultivated within care of this beautiful "little peoples" academy.
The Schoolhouse is a small private school that truly deserves the attribute to be a home away from home for toddlers & preschoolers. Other than in those 200+ schools everything is very personal & my child knows every single person by name. You get the benefit of a preschool education with college educated teachers along with the hours of a daycare. All teachers & staff are very caring. I truly could not imagine a better teacher than Ms. Christina in the 1&2 year old class for my child. As many parents we have been researching and visiting preschools to exhaustion & I must say I'm not sure what I would have done if I wouldn't have found this little gem almost by accident. Though nothing is perfect in every little detail for everybody I still could not find a better alternative to date for the level of tuition. Would recommend it to any parent.
