Mason Elementary School honors the memory of Dr. Miles H. Mason, a Duluth native and physician. A Gwinnett County public school, Mason is part of the Peachtree Ridge Cluster. Dr. Paula Deweese has been principal of Mason since in opened in 1997 with about 400 students. Enrollment has since grown to more than 1,100 students. The school mascot is the Lion, and colors are blue, red and white.
