Duluth High School is the home of the Wildcats, as evidenced by the purple paw prints painted on the street leading to the school. Built in 1958, Duluth High School has been enhanced with significant additions through the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. The school is noted for excellence in both academics and extracurricular activities. Newsweek named it one of America's Best High Schools in 2010. A Gwinnett County Public School, Duluth High School belongs to the Duluth Cluster. Jason Lane has served as principal since 2008.
