Looking for something to do this weekend in Gwinnett? Check out this list.
If you're a road racer, this weekend is for you. At least six races are scheduled in Gwinnett, offering a variety of reasons to lace up your running shoes.
But there's also live music (including jazz great Spyro Gyra), tasty food and plenty of suds to wet your whistle.

- Oct. 5: The well-known jazz band highlights the Jazz & Blues Concert Series at Peachtree Pointe Amphitheater near Buford. (7 p.m., $30-$52)
- Oct. 6: The Great Gwinnett Road Run 5K is part of Paint the Mall Pink at Mall of Georgia, benefitting Georgia Breast Cancer Coalition Fund. (8 a.m., $25-$30)

- Oct. 6: The fifth annual Chattapoochee Pet Fest at the Chattapoochee Dog Park welcomes dogs and cats ... and people, too. (10 a.m.-4 p.m., free)
