Vroom, Vroom at Road Atlanta
  • Through Oct. 19: The 16th annual Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta near Braselton showcases some of the best in endurance sports-car racing. ($40-$80, parking $5-$100, 704-436-8211)

Hang on Loosely
  • Oct. 19: Southern rockers play a free concert at the Buford Community Center. With special guests A Thousand Horses and Georgia Red Clay. (6 p.m., 770-945-6762

Bark for Life

  • Oct. 19: Rabbit Hill Park near Dacula hosts a fundraising 1-mile dog walk to honor care-giving canines. Entertainment, kids activities, vendors to follow. (10 a.m.-2 p.m., $20-$25, 770-814-0123)

  • Oct. 20: The Georgia Country & Gospel Music Association will feature eleven amazingly talented artists in downtown Duluth. The event aims to raise money to feed over 1,000 families on Christmas Day. Concert is free, but donations will be accepted. (12 p.m.-5 p.m., 770-476-3434)

Boot Scootin'

  • Oct. 19:  Raise money for the Dream House for Medically Fragile Children at the Boot Scootin' Barn Raiser at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds. (6:30 p.m.-10 p.m., $50, 770-717-7410)

Lilburn Pickin'

  • Oct. 19: Find a one-of-a-kind item at the Lilburn City Garage Sale across the street from City Hall. (9 a.m.-2 p.m., 770-921-2210)

Terror on the Trail

  • Oct. 18-19: Beware of Sims Lake Park near Suwanee after dark. Watch out for the zombies on the 1.2-mile trail. Open Oct. 25-26, too. (first tour 7:30 p.m., last tour 9:30 p.m., $15-$18, 678-226-6222)

Get Scared at Netherworld

  • Through Oct. 31: The Netherworld Haunted House at the Georgia Antique and Design Center near Norcross will show you what goes bump in the night. (Fri and Sat 7pm-12am, Sun-Thurs 7:30pm-10:30pm, Thurs 31st 7pm-11pm, $22-$50, 404-608-2484)

Spirit of Scotland
