Weather Warning: 10-Below Wind Chill Possible in Gwinnett

National Weather Service warns that conditions could lead to frostbite and hypothermia without precautions.

Think it's cold now in and around Duluth? It's expected to get worse soon.

The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Advisory, beginning at 9 p.m. Thursday (Jan. 23) and continuing to 10 a.m. Friday. Wind chill readings of zero to 10 degrees below zero are possible. 

The advisory says that conditions "will result in frost bite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken." The actual temperature is forecast at 6 to 15 degrees above zero.

Also, wind gusts of up to 25 mph are possible, the advisory said.
