Enter Community Cleanup Challenge, Win Cash Prizes

Duluth organizations encouraged to enter competition sponsored by Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful.

Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful has issued a challenge to every community -- find a project in your neighborhood that will enhance the community and enter for a chance to win $500 reward. The contest ends May 15.

It's all part of the Great American Cleanup, a national community improvement project currently underway. It's a great way for schools, churches and other civic groups to get involved and make a difference.

Eligible projects include:

  • Tree planting
  • Litter cleanup
  • Dumpster cleanups
  • Graffiti eradication
  • Recycling roundup
  • Neighborhood cleanups

You can also create your own project.

  • School groups
  • Civic groups
  • Scout Troops
  • Athletic groups
  • Churches and synagogues

Cash prizes will be awarded in seven separate categories, which will be chosen by a Selection Committee. Prizes are awarded on the biggest transformation and impact on the community. Winners will be recognized on the Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful website.

To enter, visit the Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful website and download a Post-Project Summary form. Then e-mail the completed form along with five to 10 digital before-and-after photos to gwinnettcb@gwinnettcb.org.
