Duluth Civitan Club Gives Checks to Four Charities

Each club receives $1,439 in proceeds from Duluth mayor's State of City Address.

The Duluth Civitan Club distributed proceeds from the Mayor’s State of the City Address to four charities at its March 1 luncheon hosted by the Southeastern Railway Museum. The club annually sponsors the event as a way to raise funds for charities it supports.

While at the museum, Civitans were given a tour of projects currently in progess, including the almost completed restoration of the train depot that originally sat alongside the railroad tracks in downtown Duluth.

Jerry Robb, current Civitan president, asked Duluth Mayor Nancy Harris to hand out a check for $1,439 each to representatives of Driving Magic, Creative Enterprises, Annandale Village, and Rainbow Village. Harris’ State of the City Address was presented at Gwinnett Arena Jan. 25  and featured a Business Expo for the first time.
