Watch Out: These Gwinnett County Roads Will See Road Closures

See where the trouble spots might be on Gwinnett County roads.

This week's road closures report from the Gwinnett County Department of Transportation (for Nov. 30-Dec. 8).

New projects added to the list:

Buford

  • Buford Drive/SR 20 from South Lee Street to I-985 will require intermittent lane closures through June 2014 for roadway improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm.

Lawrenceville

  • Hood Road 750 feet northeast of Tullis Road will close December 9, 2013 to mid-February 10, 2014 for drainage improvements, weather permitting. The detour route will be Hood Road to Cedars Road to Old Fountain Road to Old Peachtree Road to Rabbit Hill Circle to Hood Road and the reverse.  Alternate 2:  Hood Road to Cedars Road to Hurricane Shoals Road to Rabbit Hill Circle to Hood Road and the reverse.
