Retirement at 61 1/2 - Continued

OK, I lied. I said I was going to do nothing. And guess what, I haven't stopped. Maybe I don't know how to stop. Maybe it's fear - fear of the unknown. What is retirement? What did I expect? What do you mean, not working. I've worked since I was 10 years old either babysitting siblings or helping my Dad at his neighborhood Pharmacy in NJ. Truth be told, I'm actually working one or two days a week at my old job. Frankly, I like it and hate to loose the connection with the people and the products - home and garden planters, pottery, vases and preserved greens to name a few. In fact, I'll be working at their showroom in AmericasMart in Atlanta next week. Retail therapy at it's best. Oh and there's another passion of mine. Public Relations for Duluth Historical Society's PetFest 2013. Pets and PR a perfect combination. Maybe I don't know how to slow down, but I am starting to understand that if you are doing what you love, it's not work. And finding a balance. I'm treasure  that wonderful extra time in the morning sipping coffee on my deck.
