Retirement at 61 1/2 - I have a List of Things to Do and don't want to do them - yet!

Road map for retirement - What to do? How to spend my time? Share the journey with me as I explore the bumps, curves, detours. and adventures.

On May 10, I retired. It was a bit early. I'm 61 1/2, but it was a good time to make the break. Projects had wrapped up at work, and I am financially able (very grateful for my supportive husband, Keith, and his job with benefits).

The very next day, we took off for a week in the sun at Cape San Blas on the Panhandle of FL. It was gorgeous. Now I know why they call it the Forgotten Coast. It was unspoiled, underdeveloped and no one around. Seafood was fresh, and the weather was perfect. Shhh! Don't tell anyone. Let's keep it a secret.Β

Now it's back to reality. This week, my husband went back to work. And our little Yorkie, Harley, and I are working out a routine. Of course there's chores, errands and yard work, but I really want to practice doing nothing for awhile. And as Jerry Seinfeld knows: t's hard to do nothing.
