It’s that time of year when parents start wondering how to keep the kids active and entertained when school lets out. The Duluth Parks and Recreation Department offers reasonable half- and full-day weeklong Summer Day Camp experiences for children ages 4-12.
The camps feature a balance of free play, crafts, sports, recreational activities, and field trips in a safe and supervised environment at . Day campers have access to both indoor and outdoor facilities at the park. Camp hours are either 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday or 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Each summer camp session has a theme:
- Summerpalooza – May 29-June 1
- Fun and Fit – June 4-8
- Art Attack – June 11-15
- Nature Week – June 18-22
- Travel Thru Time – June 25-29
- Party in the USA – July 2-6 (No camp on July 4)
- Slime, Grime & Goop – July 9-13
- Kid Nation – July 16-20
- Duluth’s Got Talent – July 23-27
- Aquapalooza – (July 30-Aug. 3)
Fees are $80 a week for Duluth residents and $100 for non-residents for half-day camp and $105 for residents and $125 for non-residents for full-day camp.
