How to Have a Safe Summer

Safe Kids Gwinnett to demonstrate summer safety tips to children Saturday.

Families are invited to join in the fun and learn about car, fire and water safety during a free Discover Mills “Safe Summer” event from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 9, in the Food Court. Discover Mills is presenting the event in conjunction with Safe Kids Gwinnett

There will be interactive games and prizes. Safe Kids Gwinnett will provide demonstrations and detailed information about how to keep safe this summer, including preventable shootings, basic fire prevention, life saving skills, sports injuries, and water safety. Take home information will be available.

“Discover Mills is proud to help families take the necessary precautions to stay safe this summer,” said Teresa Holloway, director of marketing and business development at Discover Mills, in announcing the event. “We welcome our working relationship with Safe Kids Gwinnett and will continue to be a community resource for families year-round.”
