History Comes Alive in 'Night at the Wax Museum'

Students and living statues become involved in madcap treasure hunt at the wax museum during summer production at New Dawn Theater in Duluth.

History comes alive in a hysterical adventure during a “Night at the Wax Museum," the summer production at New Dawn Theater in Duluth. The play opens Thursday, June 13.

Six unlucky students who flunked history are assigned by their teacher to set up displays at the wax museum to earn a passing grade. They’re bored with the project until living versions of the wax statues of King Henry VIII, Anne Boleyn, Cleopatra, John Adams, Butch Cassidy, the Sundance Kid, Blackbeard and a bunch of pirates show up. A madcap hunt for treasure supposedly hidden in the museum ensues.

The play is being presented at 8 pm. Thursday, Friday and Saturday with matinees at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday though June 30.
