Beep Kickball Play Day Scheduled Saturday

Beep Kickball Play Day planned for vision-impaired and blindfolded children at at Shorty Howell Park in Duluth.

Vision-impaired and sighted children are invited to play Beep Kickball Saturday, June 8, at Shorty Howell Park in Duluth. Blindfolds are available for chidren without vision impairment.Β 

The Georgia Blind Sports Association and Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation will host the Beep Kickball Play Day on the park’s football field from 9 a.m. until noon.

Beep Kickball is an adapted version of classic kickball specifically designed for vision-impaired children. Using a 10-inch foam beeping kickball, the player kicks the ball and runs to a buzzing base. If the player gets there before the fielder picks up the ball, the player scores a run.
