Duluth High School Fall Sports Roundup

Anfornee Stewart and Myles Campbell lead Duluth (2-0) to a 55-21 rout of Northview. Stewart's five touchdown passes paved the way for the Wildcats win.

Two games into the 2011 season the passing of Arfornee Stewart to Myles Campbell is proving to be a lethal combination. Stewart has now thrown for nine touchdowns, and Campbell has been on the receiving end of six of those TD tosses.

Stewart threw for five of those Friday as the Wildcats, now 2-0, rolled to a 55-21 rout of visiting Northview (1-1). It was the most points the Wildcats had scored in a single game in a quarter of a century. In 1985, Duluth beat Loganville 68-0.

Stewart completed 13 of 19 passes for 221 yards, and Campbell, who had 225 yards receiving in the season opener last week, added 96 yards to that total Friday. Campbell also turned in another electrifying play with a 79-yard punt return for a touchdown.

Brandon Brinson led the Wildcats ground game with 81 yards rushing.

Stewart had no shortage of receivers to haul in his TD passes. The first one went to Nick Whitaker and covered 23 yards. After Campbell ran 47 yards for Duluth's second score, Michael Randle hauled in the next two scoring passes.

When the final gun sounded, the Wildcats had rolled up 459 yards in total offense.

Now the schedule gets a little rougher.

The Wildcats face Alpharetta next week, a team they lost to by a 44-17 score last year and one they haven't beaten in 26 years.
