Gwinnett Braves' Win Streak Is Over

Bobby Cox Day is Monday; 1 millionth fan possible.

The Gwinnett Braves are planning a big day Monday at Coolray Field, but keeping a winning streak alive is not part of the plan.

The G-Braves lost to Norfolk, 4-2, at home Sunday, ending their four-game winning streak. A double by Norfolk's Kyle Hudson in the seventh gave the Tides the lead for good.

The loss drops the G-Braves to a half-game ahead of Durham in the International League South.

Monday, the G-Braves will have Bobby Cox Day at Coolray Field. The former Atlanta Braves manager will be honored before the 7:05 p.m. game with Louisville.

Also, Gwinnett expects the 1 millionth fan to cross into the park since the team started play here in 2009. The team stands just 1,178 fans from that milestone after Sunday's game.
