Gwinnett Braves to Host Bobby Cox Day at Ballpark

Legendary former Atlanta Braves manager to be honored with tribute July 18 at Coolray Field.

Legendary former Atlanta Braves Manager Bobby Cox will wrap up his farewell tour with his own day at Coolray Field. The Gwinnett Braves announced that Bobby Cox Day will be held at the Lawrenceville ballpark Monday, July 18.Β 

Bobby Cox figurines will be handed out to the first 3,000 fans. A lucky few will also get a "golden ticket," allowing them to take part in a Meet and Greet with the retired Braves Manager. A season ticket holder will also win the chance to escort Cox on to the field before he throws out the first pitch..

Braves fans can also ask Cox questions by submitting them on theΒ G-Braves Facebook page. Those questions will then be asked live during an inning break at the game. At the ballpark, fans can sign a "Thank You Bobby" banner that will be presented to Cox during the game.

Also, the game versus the Louisville Bats is a Kids Eat Free Night. Children under 12 will get a voucher for a free hot dog, chips and soda with their game ticket.
