Gwinnett Braves Hit the Road

Team heads for Charlotte after sweeping Norfolk.

The Gwinnett Braves begin a road series Friday on a roll, having just completed a 7-1 homestand. The G-Braves beat Norfolk, 9-2, Thursday to complete a four-game sweep of the Tides.

On Thursday, Jordan Parraz went 3-for-5 with a double and four RBI and Ernesto Mejia went 2-for-4 with a double, home run and three RBI. Gwinnett jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first and never trailed.

Right-hander Eric Junge threw six scoreless innings to earn the win.
