Peachtree Christian Hospice 11th Annual Golf Classic

Peachtree Christian Hospice's 11th Annual Golf Classic will be held October 3 at St. Ives Country Club.

The tournament, in the format of "select drive, two best balls of the foursome," is an important fund raiser to benefit Peachtree Christian Hospice (PCH) and the patients they serve who are facing a life-limiting illness. Since opening its doors in 2000, PCH has served more than 6,500 patients from Metro Atlanta and Georgia.

Palmer Dodge is sponsoring the "hole-in-one" prize with a new Dodge Challenger, Former Green Bay Packers Super Bowl Champion Eric Matthews and Atlanta Falcons alumni Brian FInneran and Paul Ryczek are slated to participate in the festivities.

"PCH’s Golf Classic has a long tradition of being a top drawer event enjoyed by community supporters throughout Metro Atlanta," said Anne Mancini, Golf Classic Team Captain. "In my five-year association with PCH, I have seen the difference it has made in the lives of so many people with life-limiting illnesses and their families.  I feel privileged to serve as this year's Golf Classic Team Captain."

The event will begin at 9 a.m. with registration and continental breakfast. After warming up with range balls, golfers will then "Tee It Up" on the highly-rated St. Ives Country Club Golf Course with a shotgun start at 11:30 a.m.

Lunch is provided to all golfers. Following the tournament, everyone is invited to enjoy wines, an array of hors d'oeuvres, a silent auction of sports memorabilia, and a selection of prizes and giveaways.

Peachtree Christian Hospice is a 16-bed inpatient facility located in Duluth, on 8.7 peaceful acres filled with seasonal flower gardens and courtyards.

Its mission is to provide loving and compassionate care for persons with life-limiting illnesses, who are in need of a more intensive level of palliative care. It provides comprehensive interventions designed to stabilize patients' symptoms.
