Braves Baseball Clinic @ Coolray Field - Preventing Sports Injuries

The Gwinnett Medical Center and the Gwinnett Braves are sponsoring a camp focusing on the prevention of sports injuries in young baseball players. With many youths now playing baseball year-round, the incidence of throwing and pitching related injuries has spiked. These repetitive-use injuries often manifest in high school or college and frequently require surgery. Presenters will educate attendees about how these injuries occur and methods for avoiding them. The camp is intended for parents and coaches, but youth athletes 16 and older are welcome. Presenters include various professional coaches, trainers, doctors, and Atlanta Braves legend Tom Glavine. Registration is required and must be submitted by Jan 14. Call 678-312-5000 to register.
