Edward Willemse belted a three-run homer for the Wildcats. Eric Sutor and Alex Raffensperger contributed a pair of hits in a losing effort.

The roles were reversed two days later when Duluth’s John Clark delivered a clutch, two-run single in the top of the 10th to lift the Wildcats to a 10-8 extra-inning win.

Clark's game-winner was just one of his three hits. When he wasn't knocking the cover off the ball, he was whiffing Collins Hill's batters. Clark was the winning pitcher in five innings of solid relief work in which he struck out four and surrendered only three hits without allowing a Collins Hill batter to cross home plate.

Edward Willemse added two hits and three RBIs for Duluth (12-6, 7-5).

Jimmy Shea and Charlie Padilla led Collins Hill with three hits apiece. Blake Pulliam, Nate Williams and Brandon McKeen each added two hits.
