Duluth High School Starts Year With New Athletic Director, 11 New Head Coaches

New hires also include assistant coaches and others.

Duluth High School welcomes Chris Kirkpatrick as the new athletic director and 11 new coaches. 

"It is an exciting time for Duluth athletics. There is a great mix of new
and experienced coaches. I am very excited to be working with these
great coaches and look forward to elevating Duluth athletics to new
heights." 

The new Head Duluth High School Coaches for the 2013-14 school year are: 

  • Head Football Coach – Jason Conner
  • Head Volleyball Coach – Beau Pezoldt
  • Varsity Basketball Cheerleading Coach – Donna Wright
  • Competition Cheerleading Coach – Donna Wright
  • Head Wrestling Coach – John (Chris) Kiefer
  • Head Boys Baseball Coach – Thomas Lepage
  • Head Boys Soccer Coach – Adel Moshen
  • Head Girls Soccer Coach – Lauren Dodson
  • Head Boys Tennis Coach – Neil Womack
  • Head Girls Tennis Coach – Nicole Richardson
  • Head Boys Track Coach – Bob Swank
  • Head Girls Track Coach – Chris Kirkpatrick
  • Head Boys Lacrosse Coach – Simon Mawson
Also joining the coaching staff are Isaiah Taulbee, Bob Swank, and Daniel Davis as assistant varsity football coaches. AD Kirkpatrick will also serve as an assistant football coach. Stoney Lunsford is a new junior varsity football coach. John (Chris) Kiefer and Ryan Vamplew are new ninth grade football coaches. Kevin Jones is a new community lay coach.

Other new hires include Jayme Gonzalez as ninth grade softball coach and Danny Sawyer as ninth grade baseball coach. Vamlew and Kiefer will serve as assistant baseball coaches. Amanda Elkins is the new athletic trainer.
