Atlanta Women's Football Team Plans Tryouts for 2014
The Atlanta Steam schedules tryouts for October in Gwinnett area.
Looks like the women's football team that played in the Gwinnett Arena in 2013 is planning on more in 2014.
According to a Facebook post, the Atlanta Steam of the Legends Football League is planning tryouts for 2014 in the Gwinnett area in October.
The tryouts are planned for Saturday, Oct. 26 at Atlanta Silverbacks Park on Atlanta Silverbacks Way near Spaghetti Junction (I-85 at I-285). Time is 2-5 p.m.
Last year, the Steam played two games in the Gwinnett Arena, and finished the season with a 2-1-1 record. The Gwinnett Center website shows no bookings for 2014.
The league was known as the Lingerie Football League before a 2013 rebranding, which included the uniforms becoming so-called performance wear. The league also has teams in Europe and Australia.
