Crave Pie Studio: Downtown Duluth’s Culinary Treasure

Do you have memories of Grandma setting out a freshly baked pie on the window sill?

DULUTH, Ga - Do you have memories of Grandma setting out a freshly baked pie on the window sill? Did you ever try to sneak a piece without her knowing? Does that delicious aroma take you back to a nostalgic time and place? You can experience that same feeling again at Crave Pie Studio in downtown Duluth, Georgia.

Briana Carson, owner of Crave Pie Studio since 2012, brings her love for pie to her patrons by providing them with a unique culinary experience. How does she do that? First, she only uses the best ingredients to ensure her pies are at their peak of tastiness. Also, by shopping for produce locally, she brings the ultimate in freshness to every pie she bakes. Secondly, she only bakes with ingredients that are seasonal, so you will not find a Pumpkin Pie on her menu in the spring or summer. Right now, you will find pies deliciously baked with seasonal apples, cherries, citrus, strawberries and rhubarb. Just like your mom used to bake … only with a creative twist.

What else makes Crave Pie so unique in the world of desserts? The pies are mini-size, large enough to share but small enough to savor every bite. But if customers want to purchase a regular size pie, Briana will be happy to bake one fresh with a day’s notice. Should you crave timeless American heritage recipes like Classic Apple, Lemon Meringue or Chess, Crave Pie can satisfy your desire. Briana also creates inventive pie delights such as Tequila Key Lime with Pretzel Crust, Jalapeno Cherry with Bacon Streusel and Pineapple Habanero with Coconut Macadamia Crumb should your taste buds want to “kick it up a notch.”And if you would like a little lunch with your dessert, Crave Pie Studio also bakes many types of fresh quiche and pot pies.

When asked why baking pies brings her so much joy, Briana explained, “I love how pie evokes such powerful emotions. It’s pure comfort food and always makes people feel good...even if they’re having a bad day.  Pie can bring back happy memories of a beloved family pie baker, or holiday traditions.  I feel blessed to be able to help create that nostalgic experience for our customers.”
