Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness: Jehu is a child who has a high sense of curiosity and a hunger for learning. When he comes across an idea or topic that sparks his interest, he is eager to learn all about it. We look through books and search the Internet to find answers to all of his burning questions, which most likely leads to a curiosity on another topic. The topic of Harriet Tubman and slavery was discussed in our classroom, and Jehu was curious when slavery ended. Not knowing the exact date, we looked up the information on the Internet. This led to a 15-minute cram session about the Civil War, U.S. Constitution, three branches of government, and amendments. I believe this is the key to his awesomeness -- his never ending quest to learn more and gain more knowledge of the world in which he lives.
