Contestants opened the pageant to a packed theatre with a spirited number choreographed by Cindy Brown of Miss Cindy’s Dance Studio in Duluth. The crowd also applauded the dancing antics of the senior escorts.

Each girl earned a third of her score at a March 24 Interview at the Duluth Festival Center. The other components of their scores were an on-stage presentation and evening gown competition. Seniors had to answer an on-stage question as a tie-breaker.
