Retiring Gwinnett Teachers, Staff Honored

Gwinnett County Public Schools bid farewell to 506 retirees and thanked them for their years of service during the annual New Retiree Luncheon, Tuesday, May 28, in the Grand Ballroom at the Gwinnett Center Arena in Duluth.

• Ghousia Ali, Special Education Teacher, Chesney ES, 26 years in education, 6 years in Gwinnett
• Cherie P. Bantly, Paraprofessional, Berkeley Lake ES, 11 years in education, 8 years in Gwinnett.
• Sylvia Barteaux, Gifted Writing Teacher, Duluth MS, 20.5 years in education, 16 years in Gwinnett.
• Susan Briskie, Teacher, Chesney ES, 30.3 years in education, all in Gwinnett.
• Debbie Carter, Teacher, Berkeley Lake ES, 29 years in education, 26 years in Gwinnett.
• Marianne T. Cook, Special Education Teacher, Chattahoochee ES, 27.6 years in education, 20.4 years in GCPS.
• John S. Dipaolo, Stellar Substitute, Duluth HS, 8 years in education, all in GCPS.
• Dean M. Eklund, Head Custodian, Duluth HS, 32 years in education all in Gwinnett.
• Cindy Fullerton, Teacher, Harris ES, 25 years in education, all in Gwinnett.

• Linda King, 8th Grade Gifted Mathematics Teacher, Duluth MS, 36 years in education, 20 years in Gwinnett.
