Peachtree Ridge High, which draws students from the Duluth area, will be getting a new principal.
Kevin Tashlein, who joined the school in 2008, will be moving to an area superintendent role with Gwinnett County Public Schools.
The move was part of a reorganization that was announced Thursday (Oct. 17) at the Gwinnett school board meeting in Suwanee. North Gwinnett High is among the other schools who will be getting a new leader.
According to the Gwinnett Daily Post, the moves were part of a reorganization at GCPS.
“We have combined a few positions, but it wasn’t done with (money) in mind one way or another,” Wilbanks said at Thursday's school board meeting. “Anytime you can avoid more money, do that, but I didn’t go into it to really save money. We did, as we always try to do, keep the organization as flat as possible.”
A timetable for naming a new principal for Peachtree Ridge is not known.
