No Snow Day for Gwinnett Students Friday

As of 6 a.m., the state's largest school system had served no notice that it would close or delay classes because of the possibility of roadway icing.

No Snow Day today! It was business as usual for Gwinnett County Public Schools Friday (Jan. 18).

As of 6 a.m., the state's largest school system had served no notice that it would close or delay classes because of the possibility of roadway icing. System policy is to wait as late as 6 a.m. the day of classes before deciding whether to cancel.

According to the National Weather Service, the worst is over for today. The early morning temperature Friday was above freezing, the high was expected to reach 52 in Duluth.
